As if working in the VS7 wasn't enough, LOL. I came up
with this idea after spending a saturday evening at a
friend's house. We were watching the S1 DVDs, and as
much as I love all the characters in S1 (and S2, but
no beyond that, unfortunatelly) I found myself wanting
to watch only the Dawson and Joey scenes. I guess it
was because it had been years since I really had took
my time to sit and enjoy them as I did the first time
I discovered this amazing couple. I thought that it
would be cool to have a compilation of the best D/J
scenes. And then I thought it woudl be evn cooler to
go a step further: what about some kind of movie? Like
'When harry met Shally'? You don't need to show
everything, just the important stuff. Well, this is
not like WHMS at all, but that was the basic idea. So
I propossed my idea to my D/Jers at Fanforum.com and
some of them were as crazy as me and decided to join
the project. Thank you girls. Without you, it would
have been nearly impossible to do this.

I was very excited when Beatriz asked me to help out
with this project. At first I didn’t think I would
have enough time, but I really wanted to be apart of
this so I tried my hardest and got it done. I’ve been
a Dawson and Joey fan since 2002. I was flipping
through the channels one summer and came across this
weird show, “Dawson’s Creek”. I found it interesting
and needed something to watch, because well, it was
the summer and I had nothing to do. At first I didn’t
like it too much, when I first started watching it
they were showing season 4, but this was when they
were showing about 4 episodes a day so once I got
through season 4, I watched season 5, and started to
think, this isn’t to bad. For some weird reason, I had
known about Dawson and Joey before. I think I had
heard about them or something, and when I started
watching DC I paid more attention to D/Jo more then
any other couple. It took me a while to understand
what was happening between them, and what had happened
in the past. I finally came to the conclusion that
they are best friends, fell in love, dated, broke up,
and never really got over each other. Which reminds me
of something a DC season 4 character said, Dru was his
name:
Drue: It's down right sweet, all this concern you seem
to have for Joey, but… I should probably warn you. All
it really does it prove my point.
Dawson: I wasn't aware that you had one.
Drue: Oh, please… this whole friend dance you guys do.
As if you were actually over each other. As if you
haven't vaguely wounded each other's psyches and
doomed all your future relationships. I mean, I'm
sorry this is great stuff. It's what makes you and
Joey, far and away the more compelling couple.
And Dru was right, they have wounded each other so
much that they can’t be in another real relationship
because they will always be in love with one another.
And they’ve doomed every being able to have a
relationship with anyone else because they’ll never be
able to give their whole hearts to them, because they
gave their hearts away to each other a long time ago
and never really got it back.
So thank you so much girls, for letting me be apart of
this. I love you all so much. And I hope all you
Dawson and Joey fans enjoy the movie. We put a lot
work into it, blood, sweat, and tears. (believe it or
not)

I was honored to take part in this project when Bea
asked me. A Dawson and Joey movie sounded amazing and
I definitely wanted to be apart of it. I believe that
it was a total injustice to the fans when D/Jo did not
end up together romantically on the show and
therefore, this movie was like the fans way of showing
what would have been a more justified ending to
Dawson's Creek. Dawson and Joey were obviously meant
to be together and should have ended up together in
the end no matter if it was the most obvious choice, I
think it was the right one. The story of Dawson and
Joey is bittersweet but I think with this project, we
have made it an even better story to tell people. For
years to come, I believe we will all still remember
the love story of Dawson and Joey.
I want to thank the rest of the girls who did this
project with me. You are all fantastic. I know this
project will be a big hit because of all the work we
put into it and will definitely be worthwhile.
To the viewers, I hope you enjoy the movie. You may
need to grab some tissues, you're in for a treat.
Remember, Dawson and Joey get the happy ending and are
forever meant to be "you and me always."

Well, I don't even know how to describe my state when
Bea invited me to join the project. I thought to
myself: 'Wow, this is totally crazy, how I could...
wow, this is... amazing! Count me in'. The way things
were left in Dawson's Creek always bugged me, so
that's our way to try to make things a little bit
better to our favorite couple and share this with all
of our DJ friends, those who decided to stick with
this amazing couple, with this amazing love story, who
captured us in a way that is beyond words, cause here
we are, almost three years after the ending, with the
same enthusiasm and love for Dawson Leery and
Josephine Potter.
I just want to thank those waving daisy psychos who
made this possible and real. Bea, Brit, Christy, Deb
and Nagi, thanks for your amazing dedication and hard
work. I still can't believe that, in different
countries, with different time zones, we really did
this and this amazes me everyday. Love ya all!

There's a moment in Dawson's Creek, during the season
2 episode "The All-Nighter" that really captures for
me some of the essence that is Dawson Leery and Joey
Potter. A frustrated Joey, in a mixture of hurt and
confusion lashes out at her ex-boyfriend and life-long
best friend Dawson:
Joey: "Why can't we go back to the way things were?
Why can't we just be friends, Dawson?"
Dawson bites back: "That's what you want?"
Joey: "Yes!"
Dawson: "After all we've been through, just friends?"
Joey: "Yeah."
Dawson: "If you don't understand why that can't
happen, if you don't get that, you don't get me!"
I too have trouble accepting a purely platonic
relationship between them. If you don't understand
that, if you just don't get that, you don't get Deb!
Dawson and Joey can never be just friends. That's
quite simply not possible for them and the love story
that is theirs. For six seasons, their love was the
throbbing heart of the hit drama Dawson's Creek. This
project is an attempt to strip away the secondary
characters, the B-plots and simply show their story.
The story of Dawson and Joey in all its magic.
It's
also a labour of love on our part, an attempt perhaps
to make things right. A gift to the die-hard fans that
have remained long after the final credits rolled,
fans who may still not be satisfied with where the
story of Dawson and Joey was left on our screens.
Thanks so much Bea, for letting this idea grow in your
mind and your generosity in sharing your enthusiasm
for this project with others.
It was a wonderful idea and you've organised the
script so very well.
To the rest of the girls, thanks too for your hard
work and willingness to offer opinions and technical
advice. This has been so much fun! Yes fun, despite me
never wanting to ripp or upload another piece of
footage for a very long time (okay, maybe just a few
hours).
To you the viewer, I really hope that you enjoy the
movie. Grab your popcorn, chocolate, tissues, best
friend, whatever rocks your socks, and remember, "we
get the happy ending."
